Feeding Directions
Always measure feed by weight, not volume. To improve ease of consumption, add water before feeding. Sainfoin Supreme can replace a portion of the hay ration. Total forage intake for equine athletes should equal 2 to 3% of body weight, using clean, well-balanced hay.
Since sainfoin and alfalfa have similar mineral profiles, use alfalfa cautiously when adding it to the diet. Grass hay is the preferred choice when including additional forage.
