Not all forage is created equal. Our premium sainfoin hay delivers superior nutrition and digestive comfort compared to traditional alfalfa or grass hay. Rich in condensed tannins and naturally non-gassy, sainfoin supports healthier digestion and reduces the risk of gas, colic, and bloating in horses and livestock.
Sainfoin also provides a highly bioavailable protein source - up to 76% bioavailability, compared to roughly 40% in most common feeds - making it one of the most effective forages for performance, recovery, and overall health.
Sainfoin is packed with essential nutrients, natural tannins, and health-supporting compounds that enhance animal wellbeing from the inside out. It’s highly palatable, gentle on the gut, and ideal for horses with sensitive digestive systems or alfalfa intolerance.

Horses: Feed 4–6 lbs daily. For best results, soak pellets with warm water 10–30 minutes prior to feeding.
Sainfoin is naturally rich in beta-carotene, which is safely converted to vitamin A as needed by the horse's body. When feeding sainfoin along with a vitamin/mineral supplement, avoid excessive total vitamin A intake by keeping supplemental vitamin A at or below approximately 30,000 IU per day.
FOR ALL OTHER ANIMALS: This product is a nutritious, natural and delicious option for all types of livestock including cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits and poultry. Provide as part of a balanced diet. Feed at a rate of 1-3% of bodyweight based on the animal's body condition and energy level. Consult your veterinarian for additional species-specific feeding guidance.
Always ensure access to fresh, clean water. Store in a dry place, off the ground, and away from pests to preserve freshness.
